What kind of lawyer do I need? I paid for construction work, but the contractor did extremely inferior work so was fired. Now he wants all the money he would have been paid had he not been fired.

A construction lawyer, or for something like this, a litigation lawyer who handles disputes. It does not appear to be a complicated issue.
