Question

There was an individual in our house that started to make threats to renters and personal friends. He then attacked a personal friend. When trying to remove the individual from the top of our friend he took a swing back at one of the renters. The renter of the house then got into a fight with the person that was asked to leave. One of the other renters broke it up and began to remove him from the premises. The individual asked to leave then swung at the renter in his house. Thee renter punched him once to subdue him. In that whole process the person that was asked to leave suffered a broken cheek bone and may loose his eye sight. What legal action can the individual take against the renters even though they acted in self defense?
