My dog bit someone while she was unlawfully in our yard. Of course we still got hit with a HEFTY $20,000.00 penalty (too big to be a fine). The land lord of the property has refused to turn over her Home Owner insurance policy. Can I go after her for the policy and can I sue the lady for trespassing. Please help Keha Ireland

The rule on the responsibility of the landlord is that once a premises is leased, it is you the tenant who assumes all responsibility for negligent acts occurring there.
