A loudspeaker will last for many years without deterioration in quality if it is not abused.
Make sure that the signal fed to the speaker is not distorted and is not at a level that exceeds the ratings of the speaker. Continuous operation close to or above the operating limits may shorten the life of the speaker.
Keep the speakers in dry environment and avoid repeated and large temperature changes.
