My 19 yr old was coming out of a school lot and hit a motorcyclist. The victim is ok and came out with a broken ankle. My child was charged with failure to yield left and recently a count added with serious injury misdemeanor by the county. We have an bond arraignment hearing and have no idea what to expect. My child has never had any tickets or accidents. What kind of bond should be expected and if we do not have the money or own a home, what would happen? We only own two cars. Why a bond if it was an accident? There are reports of witnesses that mention the obstruction of view and how they felt my child did not see the motorcyclist.
