Question

I was facing a violation of probation and was charged with a new crime, later placed back on probation. Can I get violated for that new charge after reinstatement?

Answer

Perhaps. It all depends on if you were on probation at the time you allegedly committed the new crime.

Answer

If, by placing you back on probation, the court resolved the VOP that resulted from the new arrest, then I would say no, you cannot be violated. If the court placed you back on probation before the arrest for the new crime, then probably yes, you can be violated. Part of it will depend on whether the court knew of the new charge or not.
