What process is taken by an attorney if he makes an error when transferring property. A mortgage was taken out by my neighbor with this error done and recorded. I bought an 1/2 acre of the remaining property from the same owner and when my construction to permanent loan is about to close the lawyer realized he made an error with the other client that purchased property from the same owner I did.
Answer
He just needs to file an amendment in the public records. It is not that big a deal. Just bring it to him and he can fix it.
