What is a good car that has a big enough back to carry a drum set in-preferably something with good gas mileage?
I have a Chevy Aveo hatchback. It is getting 32 in town and 36 highway. I have been able to get a LOT of stuff into the back when I fold the seats down. a complete set of 4 wheels and tires on 20 inch rims was one of the crazier loads.
I haven't had any trouble, it was inexpensive. It did well in the sub compact class on crash test ratings.
Your dealership may let you try fitting it in befor your purchase. Just be prepared to bring a moving blanket or something similar to keep from scratching it.
