Is the Astra SRI diesel alternator known for having problems on the 2008 to 2009 models?
on 1.9 diesel engines the alternator is not the most reliable.
On the plus side the ones currently supplied by Vauxhall are not the same as the originals, so the new ones hopefully do not suffer from the same reliability issues.
