Why would a Plaintiff in a civil suit request Defendant's federal income tax information.
Answer
There could be many reasons, but first and foremost, very likely to get
an idea as to what assets the defendnat may have available that
might be attached as a result of plaintiff's civil lawsuit if s/he is sucessful in
prevailing in the matter.
