Question

My association is trying to amend its governing documents. They require a "signed vehicle" of 75% of owners. Our management company says all signatures should be notarized. Can't we just use a signed ballot? Getting all signatures notarized is making it almost impossible.

Answer

Assuming that your association's management company is relying on the

advice of the association's counsel, I would have to concur in the

notarization requirement.
