Question

A nsf check written in 2006 charges never filed . What is the statue of limitations ?

Answer

Texas statute of limitations for a bad check $1,500, or less, which is considered a misdemeanor, is two years; for one over $1,500, a felony, the statute of limitations is five years.

Since a warrant has never been issued, it is much too late to prosecute, now.

Assuming that you have resided in Texas ALL of this time, I would politely tell the DA's office to take the check and make a paper airplane of it.
