The natural resource of the yucatan peninsula?
The most important natural resource of the Yucatan peninsula would be its biodiversity and natural landscapes, which attract millions of international tourists each year.
Being a flat land mostly composed of limestone, the peninsula is poor in minerals besides limestone; also agriculture is limited to small amounts of tropical fruit (papaya, oranges, grapefruits). Fishing is somewhat limited due to the warm climate which requires refrigerated fishing boats to operate. Nevertheless, Yucatan is one of the largest catchers of both octopus and grouper fish in the country.
