Nearly 7 years ago I was diagnosed wityh walking pneumonia I was given sample units of a drug called SPECTRACEF. After my recovery i returned my extremely active lifestyle as i was an athlete. shortly after I ruptured my achilles tendon. A pharmicist mentioned some drugs of this kind being linked to ruptures and now come with a warning. I had no insurance at the time therefore not the best care. I now have a skinny left leg and my future will be affected as i age. Where do I stand from a legal aspect?

There is no way to tell with the limited information your provided and the limits on what you can provide in this format. The first thing to do is not take the pharmacist's vague statement that SOME drugs of that kind possibly being linked to ruptures of ??? kind? Go talk to a doctor and ask about it. Find out if the specific drug you got has any such link specifically to tendon ruptures. If a doctor confirms that the drug you took is now considered to be contraindicated for athletes due to tendon ruptures, then your next stop is a lawyer's office in person to have them look into the specific facts of your case. I would suggest you shop around for a firm that specifically has experience and staffing to take on "Big Pharma," most likely in a class action.
