Is it a good idea to get a new used car every 2 years?
In my opinion... No, as cars are made far better than years ago. I have an advantage in as much as I do some repairs and can predict what needs to be done as preventive maintenance. I feel that a person, with just a little care and a trusted repair shop, can keep a vehicle running well for 8-10 years (150k-180k miles) without big extra expenditures, allowing the average person to save up money for their next vehicle. NOTE: You can expect to buy at least 2 full set of good tires, maybe one set of brakes, and full car detailing (a few times) So keep you vehicle!
