my grandmother was using her wheelchair riding on a city bus and the bus driver forgot to put her setbelt on, and the bus driver slamend on there brakes and made her fall out of the wheelchair. she hurt her ankle, knee and hit her head on the floor. is this a good lawauit

Answer

In cases such as this one, you have to consider two components (1) liability and (2) damages in order to determine whether the case is a good one. Here, the liability seems okay, but the damages are questionable. More information is needed about the extent of injuries and medical treatment. Feel free to email for free evaluation.

Answer

My firm handles bus accident cases all over the State of California. You may call me for a free consultation at 800-816-1529 x. 1.

Your grandmother only has 6 months to file a claim against the city or she will lose the right to sue. It is critical that she retain an attorney as soon as possible.

My website is located at www.thepersonalinjury.com .

Answer

If you would like to consult with a local attorney instead of someone in LA, feel free to contact my office. Mr. Tashjian is correct that you need to see if there are damages worth suing over, and I would be happy to help you with that. Mr. Fernandez is also correct that you have a six months time limit, so do not delay in contacting me or another attorney.

Answer

I see this as both a case of liability and damages but the question is how significant are those damages. Limited injury means limited value. That being the case not only do I handle PI cases, I also handly elder abuse and that includes neglect which might al so exist here. But your grandmother must be age 65 or older to qualify under the edler abuse statute for potentially additional damages for disregarding or neglecting her safety by not belting her in. I hope this helps. Bob Worth

Answer

I have dealt with injury cases regarding the city in the past, and settled successfully. Please send me an email to discuss.
