Police agency has placed 28 year officer on IA with the possibility of termination for dating a person with a criminal record. Person owes civil restitution agency saying officer did not notify agency of his relationship. Is this right?

Right or not is not the question. Whether you can contest and fight it is. LE generally are in a union. If so, they have to represent you. If no union, then you can hire counsel to do so for you. If serious about doing that, feel free to contact me.
