In NJ, is it true that a buyer and seller of real property can sign "copies" of contracts no originals? Our realtor said that as sellers, we can sign the "copy" of the buyers original contract of sale.

yes the copy can be considered the original

Also, if the Contract allows it to be signed in counterparts, separate original signatures can be on copies.
