Is it illegal for the parent to not have contact with the parent who pays child support?
Answer
No. Sometimes the only way to co-parent is to limit contact with the exes - if they are overly hostile. The parent paying child support has rights as well as the duty of support. Those rights are spelled out in the court's order. The parent needs to be proactive and search out the information she/he is seeking. If those rights are limited, then the NCP can petition the court for a modification.
