Question

For a news story, a television station took pictures of my house and video for the story. I was in my back yard and they specifically set up to get me in the shot without my consent. Isn't that invasion of my privacy as I am a victim in this story?

Answer

If they were shooting from a public place they've a right to point the camera anywhere they like. That's the First Amendment for you. It used to be customary to ask a person to sign a photographer's release if they were going to be the subject of a photo but that seems to have gone the way of the Pontiac.
