Answer
Get your attorney to sign a substitution of attorney form so that you will represent yourself, as Liberty Mutual may refuse to deal with you as long as he is attorney of record. Obtain a copy of the paperwork you signed and see if it is a complete settlement of all of your benefit rights or not. If it is not, you may be able to get out of it on the argument that your attorney mislead you into believing that it was a full compromise and release.
You should be able to select your own treating Dr as it is more than 30 days post accident; contact Liberty Mutual to see what their understanding of the status of the case is. Find out how much and why the attorney got in attorney fees, as he may have mislead the WC judge too. If you do not understand the more recent paperwork, send it to me and will review it for free [best if can scan and e-mail to [email protected]/* */]. 510-441-2684
