My boyfriend gave me a ring while we were dating. Then he committed suicide and the ring wasn't mentioned in his will/note. I gave the ring to the councilor i was seeing temporarily for safekeeping. My mom is trying to take the ring to pawn for herself. Is the ring still legally mine?

If your boyfriend had the right to give you the ring as a gift it should be yours. Why would your mother have any right to it? Are you leaving out additional facts?
