I have a full time staff member who has a two roles to the position. One is to act as a live in staff, for purposes of responding to our residents emergencies during off hours. The other is to take our residents to their doctors appointment during business hours. Yesterday she informed me that she no longer wanted to do the live in part of her job but wanted to remain on full time. I am obligated to keep her on?

Is their a job description? Florida is employment at will so chances are its not a problem to replace her, but would need to ask many more questions to insulate you from liability.
