Question

What is the normal retirement age for deputies in Florida? My ex retired at 55,he had about 31years vested. I was awarded lifetime alimony. He retired and now he is trying to have my alimony modified or terminated. He is pastoring a church now. I helped put him through school for his degree in law enforcement. What can I argue to save my alimony???? I am earning the same as I was when I was awarded alimony.I was also awarded my share of his FRS because I was married to him for 27+ yrs. What would a good attorney argue for me,to keep what was awarded..His modification should only be the child support, our son graduated this May,and that stopped that....PLEASE SET ME ON THE RIGHT ROAD....Thank you

Answer

What do your papers state? Alimony is usually not modifiable. Would have to read your docs.
