I currently have a workers comp claim open in Orlando,FL. I was back to work only for four hours, i used to be full time. I am no longer seeing a doctor because i have decided to settle my case. I havent signed anything yet and my employer is letting me go "supposedly because i have decided to resign and because they no longer can accomodate me". Is this legal?

They cannot force you to resign, but they do not have to settle with you either if you do not resign. I hope you have a lawyer assiting you.

You stopped seeing a doctor because you are settling? Is that the agreement which was reached or you just decided to do that. Is the agreement final even though the papers aren't signed? Do you have an attorney? I hope so also just like Mr. Marino. The employer can terminate you for any non discriminatory reason. You indicate they are letting you go, which is one action, because you decided to resign, yet another and different action, and then because they cannot accommodate you, which yet another reason. It may be proper and within the law but your facts need to be clarified.
